New Horizon Grant

Good news! The club has successfully received a New Horizon grant. This grant will support the restart of Bingo and the introduction of additional new programs. Work is underway to restart Bingo, hopefully in April. Bingo would be the last Thursday of the month from April through to October. Several things must be in place before we can start but we are working towards an April start. We need volunteers who can offer a few hours the last Thursday of the month to help with the selling of bingo cards, setting up and take down, the snack bar and sorting/counting money. Helping would not prevent you from playing bingo. If you can spare a few hours to help, please contact Rosemary at 705-887-6244 or rmccoleman@i-zoom.net . The first new program to be offered will be evening Line Dancing on Monday nights from 7-9 (with the exception of the last Monday night of each month). The first session will be held April 10. The first session will be free, further sessions $7.00. Please call Janet at 705-887-7510 if you are interested or would like more information. No experience is necessary so come out and give it a try. If you have an interest in starting a new program or seeing one started, please let us know as there is funding available to get things up and running. Receiving a grant is always good news but implementing the grant takes a great deal of effort and is very dependent on volunteers!
