New Fundraising Initiative

The Board has signed a contract with Margaret Cunningham, a partner with Jacks Communications Group, to create a Fundraising Program for the Club. This contract is possible through a grant received solely for the purpose of establishing a successful and viable fundraising program. Margaret has extensive experience in communications, tourism and fundraising, has sat on several boards in the area and is currently on contract as Foundation Coordinator of Community Foundation of Kawartha Lakes. Margaret attended the Dec. 1 Board meeting and presented an eight-month workplan which will take us through to June. Information will be shared as each month unfolds. The first initiative involves three 50/50 draws to be held over a six-month period with the first one to begin in December with the draw to be held on January 11. For each draw, four hundred tickets will be sold – $5 each or three for $10.00. Forty books of ten tickets will be printed for each draw. We are looking for club members willing to sell a book of tickets on behalf of the club. Please contact Rosemary at 705-887-6244 or rmccoleman@i-zoom.net if you would be able to help and to arrange pick up of tickets. Keeping the club doors open will depend on the success of the Fundraising Initiative over the next several months and we very much need your help as club members as the various activities unfold.
