Think Spring!

It is so good to see signs of spring – less frigid temperatures, stronger sun, a little green grass and robins have returned. Spring always brings a renewed energy after winter months, so breathe that fresher air and enjoy.

March 8 50/50 Draw 

The second of the three 50/50 draws sold out quickly and the draw was held on March 8. Congratulations to the lucky winner of $695, Susan Cogar. Susan is a club member and she has helped the club to sell tickets in the first and second draws and this time she was the lucky winner with one of those tickets. A special thank you to   those who sold tickets and to the many who bought tickets. The third 50/50 draw will be held on May 10 and tickets will go on sale the week of March 24. If you would like to help support the club by selling tickets, please call Rosemary at 705-887-6244. During the first and second draws, books of tickets were snapped up quickly, so if you want to reserve a book or two, call ahead.

Once again, 400 tickets will be available in books of ten. Next draw will be for May 10.

March 24 Spring Workshop

Plan to attend the “Re-connecting With Life” workshop on Thursday, March 24th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.at the Fenelon Falls Seniors’ Centre. There is no cost for the workshop and lunch. Donations to the Fenelon Falls Seniors Club, in lieu of a fee would be appreciated. Attendance is limited to 60 participants. A hot, catered lunch is provided. Pre-registration and proof of vaccination will be required to attend. We look forward to your participation in what promises to be a very uplifting event with great conversation, fun activities, good food and even a few door prizes!

Club’s Fiftieth Anniversary

Mark your calendars for the clubs’ 50th anniversary to be celebrated on June 22.There will be refreshments, including a cake, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and a host of activities including a silent auction and the raffle draw: 1st PRIZE   $3,000 cash donated by Rotary Club, 2nd PRIZE   $1,500 Gift Cards – Sobeys, 3rd PRIZE  $636 Dinner Theatre Combo (Cow&Sow | The Locker | Globus | The Grove), 4th  PRIZE  $600 Tree + Planting - Rockwood Forest Nurseries, 5th PRIZE  $250 Family Season Permit - Kawartha ATV Association. Prizes have been secured through our fundraising initiative and the club is very grateful for the outstanding support from local businesses and associations. Tickets for this raffle will be available for sale in early April (more information to follow).
