Contract Position Filled

We are pleased to share some news that will be a very positive thing for the club. With grant money received, the FFSC was able to create a contract position for a Volunteer Recruiter and Coordinator position. After advertising the contract position and conducting interviews, FFSC Board, at the August 3 Board meeting, awarded the one-year, 25 hours a week contract position to Verda Gross. Many of you may know Verda from her many years of volunteering and participating at the club. We have every confidence that Verda will enthusiastically and capably carry out the duties associated with the position. Generally, Verda will be working at the club Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings from 9:00 – 1:00, Thursday from 9:00 – 5:00 and Friday from 11:00 – 4:00 unless other activities she will be responsible for fall outside of these hours from time to time. This means that there will be someone at the club for anyone dropping by for club information throughout most of the week. Verda will be contacting club members from time to time and we are sure you will join us in welcoming her to her position and supporting the efforts to increase volunteerism and membership at the club.
